FAQ's
What is your style?
My style is a mix between candid shots and posed looks, where I give direction without making things feel overly staged. I try to focus on real moments, authentic emotion, and the in-between moments nobody notices, because people usually look best when they’re just being themselves.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in Carmel, IN, and yes, I love to travel! Weddings greater than 3hrs away will require an additional travel fee.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I've been shooting weddings since 2009. I started my business in New York, and then moved to Indiana in 2020.
How much are your packages?
My package pricing is primarily based on how many hours you need, the number of photos you'd like, plus any additional add-ons. Packages start at $2,999.
Do you offer any payment plans?
Yes, I offer a payment option where couples can make four smaller payments instead of the normal two.
What is your approach to weddings?
I tend to take a 'good vibes only' approach overall. Weddings move fast and can be stressful, so I try to keep things calm, cool, and collected. During family portraits and the couples session I’ll take the mic and give direction, and then switch to incognito mode during the ceremony and reception so I’m not distracting. The best photos usually happen when people don’t even know I’m there, so I love catching people off guard as much as I can.
Will you pose and direct us?
Absolutely! As your photographer, I will guide you through everything — posing, prompts, and pointers to make sure you feel comfortable and look amazing. Most of my couples start by saying, “We’re so awkward,” and leave saying, “That was actually fun!”
Do we need a second shooter?
This really depends on the size of your wedding and whether you want pictures of both the bride and groom getting ready. For smaller weddings where the groom doesn’t care about photos in the groom’s suite or mancave, I would say it’s not really necessary. However, for larger weddings or weddings where the couple is getting ready in completely separate locations, I always recommend two photographers since I can only be in one place at a time. It also helps to have two photographers if you want detail photos such as your venue, decor, place settings, signage, etc. That’s because these are usually done while the primary photographer is taking the family portraits or couple’s photos.
What are printing rights?
Printing rights give you the ability to print your pictures on your own as many times as you like. Some people like this because it allows them the freedom to find the best deal. With that being said though, if you don’t want the hassle or you don't want to risk paying for shoddy prints that don't last, you have the option to print through me for anything from wallets to wall frames, and even custom albums- which by the way make great gifts for parents and loved ones!
Can we print images ourselves?
Similar to the previous question, yes, all clients receive an online gallery that allows them to download their photos in high-resolution to print anywhere they like. Clients also have the option to purchase prints and albums directly through me.
Will we receive any black & white photos?
While B+W photos can possess a certain artistic charm, I typically only edit and deliver photos in color. However, requests for B+W photos can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Will you bring back-up gear to my wedding?
Ever since I was a Boy scout, I've believed in the importance of always being prepared. That's why I come to every wedding fully prepared with backup cameras, lenses, lights, memory cards, and batteries.
When will we get our photos?
On average, clients receive their photos within 30 days (sometimes less depending on the time of year). Pictures are delivered in a private online gallery that you can download to your computer, share with family, or order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
Each wedding is so different that it’s hard to give specific numbers. Things like how long I am there for, how many guests you have, how big your family is, and even the weather all factor in to how many photos I take. In general though, you can expect at least 100 images per hour or 200 per hour for two photographers.
